Need to login to view forum

i've been giving james shit about it all morning. he said its only for a short while, as he needs to assess the usage levels of this forum.

It is just for a wee while so I can see how many active members we have and what subset are posting and what number of people are lurking. And what proportion of the registered users have just drifted away.

The renewal for the website/forum is due in a few months and I want to see if it is worth another year's money.

Although we have more posters than 6 months ago ...we really only have about a dozen of so regular posters
very much appreciated!!).

And this is not a lot considering that Bill, Joel, Jane and Chris Andrews can fill a competition lineup at a drop of a hat. And I know there is a small grip community out there as well.

Not everyone enjoys forums...or wants to post...and facebook is strong competition...but if we only have a small numberof guys willing to post then I have to find a way to make it more popular. Or give up!

Can everyone login at least once a day (i.e. log out last thing at night) or I won't know how many people visit daily.

I just need to see

- how many folks visit regularly.
- how many visit regularly but don't post
- how many people were lurking but have been forced to join.

Once we know who the active members are...I can try and work out what would make the forum better for them/us.
