From powerlifting watch...

Here is video of 22-year-old Dave Hoff (275) squatting 1,030 pounds on Saturday at the SPF Ironman Classic in East Ridge, Tennessee. Hoff put together the second ranked total of all-time, 2,695 pounds, after adding an 850 pound bench press and 805 pound deadlift.

It's SPF, I don't think anyone ever squats to depth there. Pretty much a different lift than real squats

It's almost like if you break at the hips that makes it legal

notice how you actually can judge depth from the front

Mikael Koklyeav has allegedly stated he want to do the first ultimate raw squat of over 300kg - ie nothing, naked, bare

Now thats strong and wierd

TOP Nutrition athletes were at a gym open day today at Caves Gym and Fitness.
Richard Hozjan with one week of training after spending a week in bed sick squatted. Hit 305 just belt and old wraps for a double. Hit 330 with suit, just missed 350!!!! holy crap. I was spotting so have full knowledge how close it was. Considering he is still under 100kg, IPF rules and gear, straight up strong.
Max at 66 years does and the same body weight weight does 240 deadlift. Great show.

No doubt about it Richie is the man. Has had a bad run of late but I am sure he will be back on top real soon.

Max Bristow is a living legend - the man is strength personified.

Both these guys are great role models for any strength athlete.
